Prince McClinton

Meet Our Staff:  Prince Stena McClinton

Prince McClinton has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 8 years and sees patients full-time at Alliance Primary Care Plus where she is co-owner. "As a family nurse practitioner, I have been trained to treat the whole family, from infancy to the elderly. That means I can assess, diagnose, and treat most conditions that present to the clinic. I also know that patients with complex conditions sometimes need to see a physician or a specialist."
Prince McClinton began her nursing career 18 years ago in hospitals focusing on emergency nursing after completing her Associate Degree of Nursing at Hinds Community College. She initially worked at St. Dominic Hospital, where she spent 5 years in the ER prior to spending 2 years as a travel nurse in the emergency departments of Tulane University and Ochsner Hospital both in New Orleans, LA.
After her travels she briefly worked at the University of Mississippi Medical center in the Short Stay Procedure area assisting surgical patients with recovery. She went on to serve as a RN case manager for Odyssey Health and Hospice for two years in which she enjoyed assisting patients and their families during the end of life’s journey. Prince eventually found her way back to her passion working as an ER nurse at the VA Medical Center. She knew that she wanted to do more so she sought after her Baccalaureate of Nursing at the Mississippi University for Women graduating with honors in August 2012.
Prince was a working mom of three while continuing her education to obtain her Master of Science Degree in Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham graduating with honors and a member of Sigma Theta Tau. She worked for two years as a Nephrology Nurse Practitioner at the University of Mississippi Medical center before finding her way back home to serve the Veterans she loves to care for at the VA Medical Center. She provided care for the nation’s Veterans in primary care women’s health and surgical services prior to opening her own clinic.
“Working as a Family Nurse Practitioner has brought me full circle by being able to have a positive impact on patient’s lives.”
"By working as a team at Alliance Primary Care Plus, we have a group of professionals with tremendous medical experience. We have a variety of medical skill sets and interests. Each of the providers here can focus on the special needs of the patients with the support of one another. This is a great advantage for everyone in Rankin County and surrounding areas."
"My passion is educating patients about maintaining a balance for optimal health. I want the people in the community to know that they can get special care right here at Alliance Primary care Plus."
